The Basic Skills Agency is developing a Financial Literacy project in Wales. The aim of the project is to use Financial Literacy as a context for improving literacy and numeracy skills in addition to improving financial capabilities.
The key elements of the project will include:

Organising training events for practitioner

Maintaining a financial literacy website

Facilitating events to share information and best practice

Providing up to date resources and building up an overview of current work in Wales.

Our key objective is to raise the levels of literacy and numeracy basic skills in Wales through financial literacy in line with the Basic Skills Agency and Welsh Assembly Government’s “Words Talk – Numbers Count” Strategy.
