Financial Literacy

The key aim of the National Basic Skills Strategy for Wales is to improve the literacy and numeracy skills of people in Wales. The Financial Literacy Project aims to use financial literacy as a context for improving these skills, in addition to improving financial capabilities. Financial literacy is a context that is meaningful and relevant to people of all ages.

Our key objective is to raise the levels of literacy and numeracy in Wales through financial literacy and in line with the Welsh Assembly Government's Words Talk - Numbers Count strategy.

Online Contact Database

We are currently compiling a contacts database of practitioners/organisations within Wales who are delivering financial literacy or who wish to do so. The database will be accessible from the website and aims to encourage partnership working and facilitate sharing of information between individuals and organisations, both within and across sectors and regions.

If you would like to add your details to the database, please complete and return the registration form to rachel.tranter@wales.gsi.gov.uk
